Attachments, Audio, Recordings & Secure Transfer
PDFs are preferred for ordinary documents. For screenshots, include the original image file where possible. For audio or video, do not compress or edit the original if you may need evidentiary value. Instead, provide a short written index noting date, participants, approximate duration, and the key issue covered.
- Ordinary documents: PDF preferred.
- Audio/video: initial email should identify file size and request a secure-transfer method.
- Large files: do not send repeated large attachments without prior confirmation.
- Sensitive material: do not send passwords, full banking logins, private keys, unnecessary ID scans, or unrelated personal material.
- Legal material: identify whether it is privileged, confidential, subject to an NDA, or already supplied to a lawyer or authority.
Where bulk or highly sensitive material is involved, regulators, law-enforcement, legal counsel, or verified witnesses may request dedicated secure-transfer arrangements. State this in your first email.
